The Bicycle Repair Network

What's Next Midlands?

The midlands are already bike-friendly, but we have a plan to do more.

With the help of What’s Next Midlands, in 2018 we have started building a vast network of bike repair stands on both sides of the river, called the Bicycle Repair Network.

The Bike Stand

Each bicycle repair station includes a tire pump and a series of basic repair tools that will get a standard cyclist back on their way quickly and safely. This model, the Dero Fixit 2, has been chosen by the City of Columbia as its standard in bicycle repair safety.

The Hardware

The Dero Fixit 2 includes all the tools necessary to perform basic bike repairs and maintenance, from changing a flat to adjusting brakes and derailleurs. The tools and air pump are securely attached to the stand with stainless steel cables and tamper-proof fasteners. Hanging the bike from the hanger arms allows the pedals and wheels to spin freely while making adjustments.

Space REquired

Sponsorship Cost

$1900, including product, installation, and 3 years of upkeep by the Cola Town Bike Collective.
