Become a

Volunteer

Our volunteers keep the wheels turning.

Help out around the shop, for events, and lots more by becoming a volunteer! No matter your level of mechanical experience we can use anyone willing to help us out.

There are always parts to be sorted and tires to be checked. Our goal is to have at least one Volunteer Sunday per month. If you are interested in volunteering you can submit your info here and we’ll let you know our next volunteer opportunity!

Looking for ways to help?

There are always ways that individuals can contribute to our community, from volunteering, donating, and membership opportunities.

01

Become a Member

As a nonprofit organization, we rely on membership dues to continue our mission. Becoming a member is the best way to support us. We’re pleased to offer our members perks like complimentary tune-ups, CTBC swag, and tickets to exclusive events.

02

Donate or purchase a bike

Sales are the lifeblood of our community bike shop. Our inventory is largely donated bicycles that our volunteers have cleaned and rehabilitated in our shop. The majority of these bikes are provided to local folks in need at low to no cost: we partner with multiple other nonprofit organizations in the Columbia area to identify folks in our community that need help securing reliable transportation. Our bikes help them get to work and back home again. The remaining bikes in our inventory are sold to the general public at relatively low cost. These sales are key - they help us keep the lights on and our partnerships in play.

03

Donate money

Monetary donations help us continue to serve our neighbors as a community bike shop, keep the lights on, fund community events, and more. Every dollar you donate works hard to help us help others.

04

Donate Time

You can also support us with donations of your time. We need volunteers to help with everything from wrenching on bikes to organizing and running events. You don’t need to be a mechanic to volunteer with us! We have volunteer opportunities for folks with all skillsets.
